The Damien Center
Nobody should face a hard diagnosis alone.
The Troy Damien Center is a hospitality center for neighbors living with serious illness. What started in the 1980s as a refuge for people affected by HIV/AIDS, at a time when few doors were open to them, is today a warm community for anyone navigating serious illness: a place for meals, friendship, peer support, and help finding the services you need.

Our history matters to us
The Damien Center’s roots in the HIV/AIDS crisis taught us everything about welcome without judgment. That welcome now extends to every neighbor facing illness.
