Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Events

To date 89 Ronald J. Dukes MLK Memorial scholarships have been awarded to area students who are attending college. Many have graduated, and help support us as we give to the next generation. 2018 scholarship applications are due April 16, 2018.

Each year we celebrate Dr. King with:

  • An Interfaith Service, which brings together people from all faith traditions and public, private and business sectors to honor the life and recommit to carrying on the legacy of the Rev. Dr. King. Through message and music, we are challenged to change our world for the better so that all might live in peace.
  • A Breakfast Program of inspiration and camaraderie. Often past scholarship recipients speak of their appreciation and commitment to the ideals of Dr. King.
The 2017 and 2018 events were great successes.
