The Empty Bowls Project is a unique event to support the growing fight against hunger.
Thanks to all who supported us. We raised over $19,400.
TROY NY – Attend the 12th Annual Empty Bowls Project fundraiser in Troy on Sunday, October 1 2017 noon to 3 pm at the Italian American Community Center on 5th Ave. The event raises awareness for the issue of hunger while filling empty bowls and bellies with great soups and stews!
Join local ceramic artists and Troy restaurants for the 12th Annual Empty Bowls Project. Admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Attendees select bowls, which are then filled with soups or stews from a wide range of choices. Bread, soft drinks and dessert are included in the admission fee.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the Troy Damien Center, one of several programs of Troy Area United Ministries.
There is ample room at the Italian Community Center to sit, eat, and enjoy the company of others and the music that will be provided. At the end of the meal, the bowls will be washed and returned to the attendees, so the bowls can be taken home as reminders that every day there is hunger in our world.
