Damien Center of Troy

More than 125 dinners and lunches are served weekly to those affected by HIV/AIDS and other serious illness, as well as to those who are food insecure in our neighborhood and beyond. Thanks to Latham Community Baptist Church, the parishes of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, St Henry’s, and St. Jude’s, as well as the Center Brunswick United Methodist Church, all of whom contribute great and wholesome meals.

We collaborate with the Alliance for Positive Health to provide access to case management, harm reduction, and housing. We also collaborate with the Albany Damien Center to host the P.A.W.S. Program, which provides food for pets of our guests living with HIV/AIDS.

More than 5,000 meals last year provided healthy nutrition, and freedom from isolation. The center also sponsored holiday parties, games and educational opportunities.

Stop in to visit us during 6 PM Monday evening meal or lunch at noon on Thursday or Friday, and certainly share our presence to anyone in need.
